Reuben Berry, Jr.

Reuben Berry Jr. is pursuing his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at National University. He brings more than 30 years of pastoral experience walking with couples and families through conflict, communication struggles, premarital questions, marital challenges, and seasons of grief or transition.
He chose to enter the therapy field because he has seen how powerful it can be for couples and families to have a steady, compassionate place to sort through what feels overwhelming. Specializing in couples therapy, Reuben combines his decades of relational counseling experience with evidence-based training to help individuals strengthen their connections, communicate more openly, and understand one another with greater clarity and care.
Reuben draws from Bowen Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. His style is calm, reflective, and supportive, with a focus on helping clients feel heard, respected, and safe enough to be honest.
Reuben is most passionate about supporting couples in conflict and individuals hoping to build healthier relationship patterns. He also enjoys incorporating faith and spirituality into his clinical work with clients. While faith is central in his own life, he maintains a respectful “not-knowing” stance, giving clients space to explore their own values, beliefs and experiences.
His goal is simple: to help people find hope, restore connection, and build practical skills that support lasting change.
